Gold developer West African Resources has released preliminary metallurgical test work results from the M1 and M3 prospects at its 100% owned Tanlouka gold project, Burkina Faso.
Highlights:
- Preliminary metallurgical test work at M1 and M3 returns high recoveries for oxide samples
- Potential to add ounces to existing heap leach Probable Ore Reserve of 440,000 oz gold
- Ausdrill on site, resource definition drilling at M1 and M3 under way
Managing Director Richard Hyde says: “Preliminary metallurgical test work on oxide samples from M1 and M3 has returned average recoveries of 97.5%. This demonstrates that oxides from M1 and M3 are amenable to conventional cyanide processing techniques. Heap leach test work is continuing, including coarse feed bottle rolls being completed in the first quarter of this year.
“Gold mineralisation at M1 and M3 is located less than 2 km from the proposed heap leach starter pit at M5.”
