Tribune Resources has received encouraging results from ongoing drilling at Adiembra prospect of the Jaba Gold Project in Ghana. The company will undertake a mineral resource estimation for Adiembra once the drilling is complete next month and all data has been compiled.
The reverse circulation and diamond core drilling program at the Japa project began in December 2019 and continued throughout the March quarter. The program was designed to more clearly define mineralisation within the Adiembra prospect through infill drilling and testing both lateral and depth extensions to the system.
Best results are:
- 10.2 metres from 193.8 metres at 1.75ppm, including 1-metre from 196 metres at 12.7ppm;
- 33 metres from 62 metres at 1.62ppm, including 2 metres from 74 metres at 8.84ppm;
- 57.6 metres from 108.2 metres at 2.19ppm, including 3.2 metres from 111.1 metres at 9.4ppm and 1-metre from 123.7 metres at 26.5ppm;
- 11 metres from 42 metres at 5.67ppm, including 1-metres from 45 metres at 52.8ppm;
- 13 metres from 131 metres at 16.1ppm, including 3 metres from 135 metres at 56.8ppm; and
- 12 metres from 36 metres at 2.82ppm, including 1-metre from 40 metres at 24.2ppm.
During the March quarter, a total of 22,441 metres were drilled in 127 holes including 4,924 metres of diamond core and 17,517 metres of RC percussion.
The program to date has confirmed the orientation and tenor of mineralisation defined by previous drilling campaigns and has enhanced the understanding of the structural controls on gold distribution through the Adiembra deposit.
Tribune Resources (Ghana) Limited is 100%-owned by Tribune and operates the mining lease for the Japa project.
Drilling to date has defined mineralisation within a very broad system over 1400 metres long, up to 700 metres wide and to a maximum depth of 255 metres below surface. Within this large system, mineralisation is concentrated within two distinct lodes, Adiembra West and Adiembra Central.
Adiembra West has a strike length of over 1250 metres and ranges from 40 to 80 metres in width whilst Adiembra Central has a strike length of over 1400 metres and ranges from 60 to 180 metres in width. Both lodes are open along strike and at depth.
Drilling will continue throughout April and it is anticipated that the current program will be completed during May.
