Tietto Minerals has intersected broad and high-grade gold from multiple step-back diamond drill holes at Abujar-Gludehi (AG) deposit within the Abujar Gold Project in Cote d’lvoire. The results included 73 metres at 2.80 g/t and within this was 1-metre at 34.59 g/t.
The company has received a complete set of assay data for step-back hole ZDD061 with results on lines 21, 23 and 27 also reported, covering a continuous zone spanning 700 metres within the high-grade core of the AG mineralisation.
Intensive diamond drilling is ongoing as part of a 30,000-metre diamond drilling campaign for a resource upgrade on track for release in Q4 2019.
Drilling has now confirmed continuous depth extensions of high‐grade gold mineralisation from over 700 metres of strike length.
The drilling is ongoing over the remaining strike of the 1.4km high-grade core section of the AG deposit containing 15.7 million tonnes at 2.1 g/t for 1.06 million ounces.
Results from ZDD061 include:
- 73 metres @ 2.80 g/t from 218 metres and within this was 17 metres at 2.18 g/t from 218 metres, including 1 at 34.59 g/t from 218 metres;
- 17 metres at 8.80 g/t from 254 metres including 7 metres at 20.63 g/t which includes 1-metre at 103.9 g/t Au from 254 metre and 1-metre at 34.31 g/t from 260 metres; and
- 5 metres at 2.91 g/t from 286 metres including 1-metre at 9.08 g/t from 289 metres.
Results from other diamond holes include:
- 2 metres at 15.32 g/t from 278 metres within a broad mineralisation zone of 28 metres at 1.27 g/t from 252 metres;
- 3 metres at 5.11 g/t from 307 metres within a broad mineralisation zone of 11 metres at 1.95 g/t from 299 metres; and
- 8 metres at 3.47 g/t from 241 metres including 1-metre at 14.17 g/t from 248 metres.
Tietto’s managing director Caigen Wang said: “We are excited to confirm high-grade extensions down dip in all contiguous sections of the AG deposit over a 700-metre strike, demonstrating excellent continuity of mineralisation along dip and strike.
“Extensional drilling is ongoing for the remaining 500-metre strike of the total 1,400-metre extent of the high-grade core of the AG deposit and results will be reported over the next six to eight weeks prior to a significant upgrade to resources anticipated to be reported in quarter four.”
Tietto’s two diamond drill rigs are drilling at about 3,000 metres per month for depth extensions from Line 15 to Line 20 and infill drilling between Line 15 and Line 29 of the high-grade core section of the AG deposit.
The campaign is aimed at increasing mineral resources as well as upgrading the resource category in Q4 of 2019.
