Ongoing analysis of core samples from Vital Metals’ Bella Tondi prospect, which is part of the Bouli Gold Project in Niger, has returned further visible gold. This suggests that there are multiple parallel lodes in the high-grade gold zone.
There has been gold observed in core samples from drill hole BTRD006 at a relatively shallow 115 metres down-hole. This is within the emerging high-grade zone at Bella Tondi.
Multiple parallel lodes have also been identified in the Bella Tondi shear zone.
Assays are ongoing with first results from the diamond drilling expected towards the end of June.
This hole is about 60 metres north of BTRC040 which returned 4 metres at 157 g/t gold within 10 metres at 63.5 g/t. It is also 40 metres to the south of BTRC047 which returned 2 metres at 47 g/t within 20 metres at 5.79 g/t.
Visible gold in BTRD006 follows the recent announcement of visible gold being present in drill hole BTRD004.
Vital Metals managing director Mark Strizek said, “This latest round of returned core samples provides the Board with increased confidence to accelerate exploration of the emerging high-grade gold zone at Bella Tondi.
“These results are the continuation of our deeper drilling program which has been designed to test the potential of the high-grade shoots at Bella Tondi.
"We have over 1.5 km of strike-length which has been almost untested by deeper drilling but has the same shallow depth voids mined out by artisanal miners which also occur within the 200 metres of high-grade gold which we have so far delineated.”
